Favourite Resident Evil?
So what's your favourite Resident Evil game? Mine is obviously Resident Evil for the Playstation.

Mine would have to be Resident Evil 2 (Leon Scenario). That game embodies everything that RE stands for. Although it is very closely followed by RE1 for PS1, I would still have to go with RE2 because it seems that it fixed all of the little things that bothered me about the first one (not that there was very much wrong with RE1 in the first place).

And Resident Evil 2 has 2 discs! Don't forget that. I could never complete Resident Evil 2.

That is, in my opinion, the best Resident Evil game Capcom has put out. Especially the kick ass battle royale between Wesker and Chris. Classic! :D

The REmake, hands down.

RE4 is the only I actually own at the moment... So im going with 4. I'd be too scared to play RE1 anyway.

Yeah. Resident Evil is the scariest game I have ever played. I don't know why. Actually it might be the terrifying graphics!

Same here :D My mum's friend introduced it to me back when I had a SNES and he had just got a Playstation. Good times. I remember him to tell me when the first zombie encounter was over. You know the one where you see the zombie eating that dead bloke and he turns around? Now that's what you call scary!

It had very little to do with the established canon, and Leon's actions were humanly impossible. It's almost as if Capcom was saying, "Look guys, we know we built a story around a company for 10 years and you want us to continue this story, but FUCK YOU! We're going to do it this way!" That lapse in judgement has pissed off many hardcore Resident Evil fans, and Capcom has to atone for its sins. Anyway, thank you for Wesker's Report. I'll print it out tomorrow.

All of this RE talk is making me feel as excited as when I first picked up a copy of the first RE. This thread proves that next gen console graphics don't make a game better. I like mostly PS1 games over anything made for the later consoles, Resident Evil included. Even with crappy graphics, they were still just better games.
