Is this series any good? I've heard good things, but I would like to know more about it. :)

Hack? Are you talking about the Dungeon-Hack Pen and paper game or Net-Hack the Text basted game?

Never even heard of it... Sorry, I guess my answer is no...

I tried watching the show, couldn't get into it. Never tried the games out.

I've never actually seen the show, I just heard the rpg was worth playing. Maybe DKK can shed some light when he returns. :P

I've done everything but beat the game itself...gopt kinda hard and I got sidetracked and was never able to sufficiently get back into it...I will once I can afford to though...the series is really just one big game. Its a very cool Idea for a game...you gather a friends list...there's a lot of optional things you can do...decent fight system althought for the most part its button maching unless you really get into using spells. Story line is incredibly solid. There's not many drawbacks to it at all. The basioc plot is you are a kid living in Japan...your buddy wants you to play this online game with him and he ends up having something happen to him in the game and going into a coma (this happens to many more throughout the game) you end up with a special ability that no one else has which basically labels you a hacker...the game (the one you and your friend were playing) goes completely screw bally by about the third game and its up to you to fix it and find out why its happening. Music and scenery are absolutely wonderful. The only draw back to the game is it gets repetetive...you have to go into so many dungeons and they are all pretty much the same...and towards the end the monsters get REALLY REALLY REALLY annoying....but otherwise I would give it an 8/10 and a must play for anyone who likes either RPG's or online RPGs like world of warcraft or the like.
