I'm back! Those were the two most painful weeks of my life! But I think I finally got rid of that infernal invader. I had a small glass of whiskey last night, in order to see if I am truly over it. If I threw it up, or got sick, then I would know that I wasn't over it, and have made a big mistake. I didn't. So I give myself a clean bill of health. :D
By the way Cowboy, I remember you suggesting I stop smoking. I haven't smoked in over 3 years, and have no intention of starting again. When I found out that I had the lung capacity of a two year old, I knew I had to quit. So I just quit cold turkey. I have never looked back. :D

Welcome back, Keeva! It's good to have you back. :D

Thanks guys! :D
I have quickly found out why pneumonia is one of the leading causes of death in AIDS patients. That crap kicked my ass, and I'm pretty healthy! I don't have any ailments, but it still knocked me out for those two weeks. Anyway, I'm glad to be rid of that shit.

Yeah dude. Pneumonia is a freaking monster. I have had it several times in my life. I had it coupled with ear infections throughout my childhood and was often hospitalized for it. I have some crappy lungs today for it. But do you want to know something funny? I stopped getting sick with respiratory crap after I started smoking. I can't figure that out at all and I am certainly not promoting smoking as a part of a healthy lifestyle regiment.
Nonetheless, welcome back and we hope you stay healthy.

^I know exactly what you mean. People are very quick to write it off, and dismiss it, as they know it can be treated. But they never truly understand just what it can do to someone, until they personally get it. It's something people use in jokes. I don't find it funny. That is also a fault humanity needs to evolve beyond-using ailments in jokes. I have never really found those "jokes" amusing.
I am sorry you have had pneumonia so many times, but am glad you no longer get that shit. :) But based on what you have just said, I don't think I'll ever smoke again in my life(which may be quite easy to do, since I haven't smoked for over 3 years.) Having that crap once is more than enough for me. So fuck smoking.
Anyway, thanks for the warm wishes. :)
Just one more thought. This is a warning to everyone: If, at any point in your life, you are prescribed the antibiotic Doxycycline Hyclate,(or just Doxycycline for short,) do not, I repeat, DO NOT, take the medicine on an empty stomach. It is recommended that you take it two hours before eating, but can be taken with food if it upsets your stomach. I speak from personal experience. If you do not take it with food, or you don't eat something substantial(toast will not suffice, as I've found out the hard way) you will feel your stomach being torn to shreds. You will upchuck the medicine. Please take it with food.

Arr yarr, welcome back Keeva! Wondered where you'd gone. *hug* :D
Keeva- 02-27-2007
^Well thanks. But what the Hell does "Arr yarr" mean? Is it some sort of inside joke that you and proxi share? Or is it a twist on what people think pirates say? Maybe both?
Yana- 02-27-2007
I dunno... it's just a random saying me and proxi say! It's a Stephen Hawking thing.
Keeva- 02-27-2007
Indeed. Well, thanks for the greeting. :)
