More than meets the Eye...
Well as many of you know, the Transformers movie is nearly here. Ever since there was announcement for a live moive of this iconic cartoon series, theres been major buzz on what to expect. Those like me ( they grew up on the orignal toon when I was a kid) are espcially stoked to see this...but at the same time worried that it might flop. Well in any case who here is planning to see it? +++Some potential spoilers here+++ Oh and BTW that raises one question, How will they do the Decepitcon charater and maon comunicator Soundwave? He was a walkman back in the days...cant see them as one in a 2007ish setting Hmm a discman? an MP3 player?? thats a bit of a stretch considering how small they are.....or for that matter the tapes that were with him, rumble, laserbeak and such..what about them? Make them cds? :? Who knows? Meh bad enough they made Bumblebee a Mustang in this flick. Oh and theres a interesting story about that I will post a little later.. Anyways what do you all expect from it?

I owned almost every Transformer made when I was a kid. I loved them and I watched the cartoon every day after school. Recently I saw a couple of extended trailers of the new movie. I asked the same questions as your regarding how they were incorporate a gun and a cassette player into the new movie. I saw neither. But what I will tell you is this... Transformers looks like it will be a visually stunning film and it looks fun like it should. I am sure that we will not be spellbound by the story, but who cares? I cannot wait to see it.

I used to watch the cartoon religiously, but no matter how much I begged, my Dad would never get me a transformer. :( I'm very much looking forward to seeing how this movie will turn out.

Indeed...I just hope it doesnt flop...from what I see in the trailers so far...looks good, but I cant shake the feeling.....meh

So no one has seen this yet? I will in a few days..work keeps getting int he way

I am wanting to take the family to see this. I hope that maybe they will want to this Saturday.

Ive seen it. You have to see it. Even if its just for the superb animation. The transformers blend in their surroundings perfectly. (no pun intended) What bothered me if Megatrons appearance. He doesnt look remotely like the original (wich is strange since Optimus does) instead he looks more "alien" and evil than all the other transformers.

^Well technicly Megatron IS evil...dont expect him to be a borderline angagonist...lol Still yeah he does look alot diffrent conpared to the toon version..but I guess they had to make some changes....Micheal Bay mentioned he didint want any of them to look to blocky or condbersome..to instead look really advanced robotic beings. And I guess it paid off.
