Resident Evil Extinction
I thought I'd move this post here. :) Apparently, there is a new Resident Evil movie due to be released in 2007 (Resident Evil:Afterlife). I am not sure if this is confirmed, but I have checked out several sites and they all have consistent information. Here is a link: RE:Afterlife As far as RE movies go, I wish they would lose Alice but that isn't going to happen. Let's just hope this one can be a bit more entertaining and more closely related to the games. Regardless, I'll be one of the first in the theater to see this one as well (crap, I'm pathetic).

So.. I think it's the continuation of Resident Evil: Apocalypse Ryt? What would happened to Alice? and i hope they don't removed Jill Valentine there.

I thought I heard somewhere a while ago that Alice might be becoming more of a villian in the next movie. Don't take my word for it though, my poor mind is all muddled and I might be making stuff up again.

Ok, I had a blog about the RE movies, and I know pretty much of Afterlife and also the next one. Lastste news: Here's some information on the third & fourth movie: Resident Evil: Afterlife Plot/Summary Warning: Contains Minor Spoilers Taking place after the events in Resident Evil: Apocalypse, Alice (Milla Jovovich) struggles to co-operate after becoming the latest project from The Umbrella Corporation. With a few S.T.A.R.S. members surviving Raccoon City can they be Alice's target? With the T-virus narrowly escaping Raccoon City, the world is almost over-run by flesh eating zombies. Will the Umbrella Corporation do anything to prevent the outbreak from spreading over the world? Will the U.S. Government stop them in time? Or will the world suffer the same fate as Raccoon City? Cast Milla Jovovich Alice Trivia Jovovich will return as a villain this time. Albert Wesker has been confirmed to appear in Afterlife. Is set for release in 2006 possibly around as early as August or September. Was said to be the last movie in the Resident Evil series. The budget of this movie is still unknown. Impact and Constantin Films announced 2 more sequels to Resident Evil: Apocalypse after success worldwide. The final reel of Afterlife will shift the action to Japan where the Untitled Resident Evil Afterlife Sequel is set. The sequel of Afterlife is currently known as 'Resident Evil 4' but will be changed to avoid confusion with the game Resident Evil 4. Alice will use her powers as seen in the ending of Apocalypse. The title Afterlife is considered on being changed in the near future according to Constantin Films. The fate of Alice is yet unknown, unlike Nemesis which was known to fans of the games. Will have more action and gore than Apocalypse. Capcom may create new characters for the movie. Is still unknown if Sienna Guillory will return to reprise her role as Jill Valentine. Will be filmed in the Australian Outback. Dr. Issacs will return. Rumours Rumored that Chris Redfield and Rebecca Chambers will make a cameo. Claire Redfield was considered to appear in Apocalypse but was removed from the script after the unknown actress had creativity differences. Is unknown if she will appear in Afterlife or Resident Evil 4. Unconfirmed reports have hit Bloody Disgusting main page indicating that Sony will restart the Resident Evil series. Movie Web has got Resident Evil 4 set for a 2007 release. Hey guys, sorry with the lack of information on the third movie but this is almost all I can find, I'll update it whenever I find movie information. Also all I know about Resident Evil 4 is that it's going to take place in Japan, it's a sequel to Afterlife so Alice may be in it. Though depending on if she dies in Afterlife she may not be in it, hopefully she will.

It looks like Mike Epps will return to reprise his role as L.J. in "Resident Evil: Afterlife". While promoting his latest film, "Roll Bounce" in NY, the actor talked about coming back for the third Resident Evil movie. Has there been any talk about bringing your character back? Mike Epps: Yep, we're shooting it in March and this time, they are going to let me be hard. I asked the director, "Something's strange because why did you let me live? Black people die in these movies" and he was like, "Well Mike, I kinda like you." So then I asked him, "Are you setting me up to die?" because if there's a fourth movie, I'm as good as dead. Well, do you get to live? ME: I don't know this time. But I tell you what. If I gotta die in this one, I'm not doing it. I'm not dying in any of my movies. Constantin head of production Martin Moskowicz said in Cannes that the third film, "Resident Evil: Afterlife," will shift locations to shoot in Australia. There are also plans for a 4th part set in Tokyo, and Impact/Constantin is looking to shoot the film in Japan. "Afterlife" will be set in a post-apocalyptic world overrun with mutant zombies. The film will play in the Nevada desert with the Aussie outback standing in for the American wasteland.

Wesker's in this? Wow, torn emotions on that one. Wesker is one of my all-time favorite fictional characters. But I'm terribly afraid they'll screw him up in this. I'm not sure how to feel...

i totally understand what you mean. thankfully the first 2 didnt screw up too many charachters. they already made the nemisis look like an oversized action figure and i dont remember jill doing any round house kicks to zombies and using martial arts in the games. i just wish they would make the charachters in these games more real. i wish they could make a film similar to night of the living dead or dawn of the dead. and the charachter of alice is absolutely rediculouse, dont get me wrong i love the games to bits and all of them would be in my top 20 games ever. they should just make these games the way they should instead of tryng to suck in the greatest audience possible with overblown special effects and bruce lee's sunday night martial arts class group. maybe this should be in rant?

Wesker's gonna be in it?! Yay! I would really like to see him played by Ben Browder (he played John Chricton on Farscape). Why? 1) He rules as an actor, and would be able to do a convincing villian (I think) 2) He has a similar build to our good friend Al (he'd just have to bleach his hair) and 3) He's a smokin' hottie! XD

First off Paul Anderson can kiss my ass. Two reasons. 1) He ruined the whole RE movie series. He has probably never played the damn game bofore and well he just sucks. 2)Who the hell is Alice? She sucks and there was never a Alice in the game Paul, you stupid asshole. In the first movie she was all weak and pathetic, and then in RE:Apocolypse(shitty title), she thinks shes a badass. Its like dammit, I hope she dies in the next movie and never comes back. You hear that Alice. Just die you bitch. If you are all wondering why I am so harsh, its cause I am a big RE fan and I really wish it could have been mae my Gearge A. Romero. Sure his was alittle different from the game, but at least it had all the game characters and even the Tyrant. How could would that have been huh?. Enough whinning from me. Later fellow survivors. Alice sucks ass. When the that dumbass Paul created her he must have been watching superman or something. He was probably thinking "Hey what if I put Superman in RE and made him a girl. I can call her Alice. I choose Alice cause it was a girl from grade school who I liked and called me a loser. I still like her." Thats what the hell he did ladies and getlemen. He put f-ing superman in RE and just changed him into a her and named her Alice. Ahhhhhhhhhhh dammit this pisses me off. The first movie should have been called Resident Laser since more than half the team died of lasers. F**k you Paul Anderson.

Hey Agent Hunk, Welcome to the End. You may have chosen a bit strong words, but I know where youre coming from. RE-2 did indeed suck. I actually liked the first movie however, It managed to suprise me since I expected a total disaster and it managed to deliver a plot still rather faithful to the original games. The second movie however took that idea, buried it and danced on the damn grave. I have absolutely no hopes for the third movie.
