Shadow Hearts I knew I should have bought this game back when it first came out...I also need to find the first one (probably another amazon.com purchase...and perhaps should buy the latest instalment of the series while you can still find it in stores...anyway...I have been to ever game store in town and here it is...the link to the latest addition to my collection (a very fun game and by far on par with my favorites of the final fantasy series)

cant believe this game was so damned hard to find
CowboyFromHell- 07-02-2006
Yes, this is still on my list. I can't seem to find it in any stores either. I will have to make an online purchase I suppose.

yeah ya will....if you enjoy the series I suggest checking out the new one (I havent yet) and if you like it you may want to buy it while the stores are still carrying it...every single listing I've seen for the first two shadowhearts games have all been listed as Rare or Hard to find.
Great games though the first two :)

I have part 1. I saw this game in some stores but I think its a bit too expensive. To be honest, the first game didnt entertain me well enough to pay 60 € for part 2.
Ill wait a while. or convince me of how good this one is :)

well it kinda depends on what you like...if you found the first game boring I doubt you would like the second. As for me I'm a big nerd when it comes to plays on historical facts. The whole game takes place in real places around real historical events (World War one or two I honestly forget right now) all characters are fictional of course and they all of course can do things that no one could actually do...but the play on history is kinda fun. I liked the battle system a ton and it offered some unique challenges. Story line was awesome...a bit slow but awesome none the less and scenery was good enough!

Yes I noticed this game had a sense of realism when it comes down to historical facts and locales. But I really didnt like the whole timing thing. I even had to do it to pick up some bowl I remember. How hard is it to pick up a bowl? :)
Some of the monsters were a bit freaky like that postman (the dog with the arm)
DKK- 01-18-2007
yeah some of the timin gs are pretty ridiculous...I havent played the first game in FOREVER so there isnt much I remember about it. but in the second they give you items to adjust the timing of your attacks which is pretty awesome. but then there is shopping...you can get a discount on items by hitting timing on a judgement ring right and sell things back to the shop at a mark up by doing the same thing.

Ah yeah I remember that. I didnt finish shadow hearts 1. But I got to the final dungeon (the floating castle) and gave up after I realized I didnt get the stone of destruction before fighting roger. So I didnt get that form he turns into.

I don't know if anyone can help me... I'm playing SH: From the New World and I've just got to Las Vegas, and I'm supposed to find Room keys in the hotel to progress to different floors via the elevator. I've found the "903" key, but when I go and talk to the guy in the elevator, he won't give me the option to go to the 9th floor! I've cleared all the rooms I can and I'm sure I haven't missed any gangsters.
I would go back to a previous save, but I've saved over it. Duh! If anyone has any suggestions, it would be much appreciated!

So far we have Shadow Hearts Covenant and From the New World. The funny thing is we actually went to buy the first Shadow Hearts and when we got home they actually put Covenant in the box. So now we are going to go back and say hey, we want to keep Covenant, but could you please let us have the first one as well? Of course we will pay for it, but can you believe that Game Stop had all 3 games in stock? These games rule!!!

I've just finished Covenant and am now playing the first one.
I love this series!

#3 (From the New World) is completely different from the first 2 Shadow Hearts. I am a picky gamer so you will have to consider that when I say that I love the hell out of the first game but the third one doesn't captivate me because if it's presentation. It isn't because 3 isn't good, but 3 is sort of campy and cartoony. I realize that this is on purpose, but I just like the first game much more. Other than that, I think it is a great game. The battle system is the shiz!
