Sounds in the Hospital? - Everyone's Grudge - 02-25-2024 When you're in the basement of the hospital, on the way to the room where Alessa was kept, there's this other strange room. The whole floor is like a giant grill. There's nothing in there, no monsters, no items nothing at all. But if you stay inside long enough, eventually there's a sound which would seem to come from under the floor. It sounds like somebody taking a chain and smashing it on the grill from above. Or something made of metal, and heavy, falling. Try as I might, it doesn't seem to be anything important. Although it made me jump like hell in my chair the first time..and several times afterwards. I was just wondering what everyone thought about that weird room and its sound. Is it it something important, or is it just meant to confuse and frighten the player, like so many other things in the game? RE: Sounds in the Hospital? - =AoD= Captain - 02-26-2024 Hadn't thought of this in a while until you brought it up. I recall there being graffiti on the walls of this room as well that caught my attention. I spent a long enough time in the room to study things and hear the sound because the little invisi-bastard in the hall would kill me with one more hit and I had no health doo-dads (this fact making the boss fight a real pain). RE: Sounds in the Hospital? - Everyone's Grudge - 03-01-2024 I don't remember the graffiti. What was it like? RE: Sounds in the Hospital? - =AoD= Captain - 03-01-2024 It was on the back wall, left hand side, when looking from the door. It has a child's drawing feel but I don't remember specifically what was drawn. RE: Sounds in the Hospital? - Alessa - 03-06-2024 You're talking about the room where you find young Alessa crying in a corner, right? At least I think Cappy is. I believe Everyone's Grudge is thinking of the room next to the graffiti one. The graffiti that I remember had some writing that I couldn't read, but there were also many eyes and they looked female, with long eyelashes. RE: Sounds in the Hospital? - Everyone's Grudge - 03-07-2024 It's on the same floor as the Alessa room, but not the one with the bed and everything. Right when you climb down, it's on the left (From the view behind Harry.) RE: Sounds in the Hospital? - =AoD= Captain - 03-07-2024 It has perhaps a table and a chair on the left and a grate floor, the second door on the left perhaps. I think we're all talking about the same room. I think we're all thinking of the same room. I remember the eye things. The first door on the left you have to unlock or something and there is something there you have to do right? RE: Sounds in the Hospital? - Everyone's Grudge - 03-14-2024 Well that's what's weird about it, there's absolutely nothing to do in the room. It seems irelevant. But yeah, it's on the left side, first or second door. RE: Sounds in the Hospital? - =AoD= Captain - 03-18-2024 I remember now that the first door on the left you need to unlock because the last item to open the door in Alessa's childhood room is in there. True though, there is nothing to do in the room we're discussing, but the graffiti and such might mean something, it seems like a play room but not, something similar to a room to evaluate a child's psychology but makeshift, having been set up in the basement to keep Alessa from hospital general population. That is really stretching perhaps but the table and chair, proximity to the other room's used for Alessa's care, and wall drawings just give me that impression. Alessa spent the better part of 7 years in that small basement hallway and those few rooms. Her residual emotional impressions left there would be the quite strong. RE: Sounds in the Hospital? - Everyone's Grudge - 03-25-2024 *Eyes blink.* Maybe you're on to something actually. I just don't remember a chair or anything in there. I'll have to play again, to go see. The only thing though, no one really knew about that basement other then those involved..so would it have been necessary? Plus, if I understood the plot, Alessa never did get out of her bed, so she wouldn't know about that room. Well, nothing says that actually, so they must have taken her out once in a while, I guess. But your theory sounds plausible, so maybe that sound and graffiti has something to do with that... Heh, I don't want to make such a big deal out of it, it's just that ever since Silent Hill came out, which was a long time ago, this room keeps bugging me. |
