Now, Konami and Akira Yamaoka are not known for arbitrarily throwing stuff into the Silent Hill mythos just for kicks.

Since the song is from Cheryl's point of view looking into the future, who is Coleen? Is she a classmate? Is she possibly the sister of Andy, the neighbor boy from the play novel? Perhaps just a friend on the block? Family member of Harry's (such as a "cousin" to Cheryl/Heather)?

What you do is, at two points in "Outside Room 302" world (I think it is when you see the book on the floor in the main stairwell and near the umbilical cord in the Super's room), set a candle directly in front of her and let it burn until it is almost out before doing another action (in the stairwell, you run out of the room; in the Super's room, you select the Umbilical cord). It is supposed to heal her drastically, and it actually worked for me.
