The Subway Guy
#1
I'm almost to the subway. I just got my own copy of Silent Hill 3 last Saturday. I've read all these things about Heather being pushed on the track and I'm like " Oh crap!". What I don't get is if the guy comitted suicide, why push Heather onto the tracks? She's just a 17 year old girl who's the reincarnation of Alessa and Cheryl. How strange? All your thoughts on why the suicidal ghost pushes her?  Huh

There's a lot of clues before you get to it. You have to view them to get the scene, also. It just says how the presence doesn't go away because it was a traumatic event. I think it also says something about the presence being stronger in a more populated area and when they are recent. You'll have to look it up on gamefaqs.com to get where all the clues are that you have to look at.

He's a Dybbuk. A tormented human soul trapped on earth because of suicide or wickedness now turned to evil spirit which preys on the living, outwardly spreading his torment. And due to the tendency to lash outward, it has no hope of inner rectification.

Or, since this "ghost" doesn't leave the subway and seems to repeat the last actions of its life, it may just be residual paranormal charge, mindless, and Heather is just in the right spot when the cycle repeats and gets pushed by the energy as it moves again off onto the track.

I can never get that part! I beat the game 17 times(NO KIDDING) and still haven't gotten it. I read the newspaper(The occult one right?), and i still cannot get it... Sad

There are two articles you need to read. The occult magazine in the subway stairwell and the newspaper atop the trash bin. Then you go down to the tracks where it happened and it will go to a cut scene.

Do I have to read them? <o.o> LOL I have a slow reaction time so I'm gonna be hit like 20 times. Stupid Heather....*kicks her* Anyways, all very good reasons to push her on the train track. I would have done it just because she died her hair blonde and ruined the black.

Well, the game doesn't know if you actually read them, but Heather does have to view them both. It's not like there are any monsters in the area the articles are in, there aren't. One is a magazine in a stairwell on the way down to the tracks, the other is a newspaper on the main level, before you go down to the tracks. Only the actual pushing occurs on a level with subway tracks. Both articles are on upper levels.

Hope this helps.
