Earn Costumes In Game
Complete the game once. You'll unlock Extra Costume and Extra New Game which needs to be used to unlock passwords in the game. Start Extra New Game on Hard Riddle mode. Clues for the code are written on memos stuck in the bookshelves of the Chapel library.

Complete the game on Hard Action Mode and Hard Riddle Mode to unlock the life bar, which can be turned on and off at the extra options screen.
Unlockable Weapons
Beam Sabre - Kill more enemies by fighting than shooting. This weapon turns into the Sexy Beam when you have the transform costume equipped.
Flamethrower - Kill more enemies by shooting than fighting. If you do not get this weapon on your first playthrough, you will get it automatically on your second.
Gold & Silver Pipes - Throw your steel pipe into the sewers and answer the three questions as follows: No, No, Yes.
Heather Beam / Sexy Beam - Accumulate a total of 333 enemy kills. (Accumulate in one playthrough or multiple playthroughs. Boss enemies included.) The Heather Beam turns into the Sexy Beam when you have the Transform Costume equipped.
Infinite SMG ammo - Defeat the final boss with a melee weapon.
Unlocking the endings
Normal - Beat the game simply by not killing too many enemies.
Possessed - Kill over 100+ enemies. Forgive the person in the church. Take over 2000 points worth of damage.
Revenge (UFO) - Get to Heathers apartment killing 30+ enemies using only the Heather Beam.
Easier Flamethrower and multiple game completions
Before completing the game, make sure you save relatively close to the last boss (to save time), then complete the game as normal. Save the results after the end credits. Load the game you saved before the last boss and defeat it again. Even though you did not go through the game again fully, this counts as another game completion. This is an easy way to get the flamethrower if you did not get it the first time. It's also a quick way to raise the bullet multiplier in the extra options.
Access beginner mode & extra options.
Like all the other Silent Hill press all four shoulder buttons on the options menu.
To access beginner fighting mode you have to die twice in the normal game. To change the fighting to beginner mode go to the extra options menu.
Douglas in Boxers
Beat the game once, select ''Extra New Game'' option at the main menu and press Up(x2), Down(x2), Left, Right, Left, Right, Circle, X. Heather will sigh after you choose a difficulty and riddle level to confirm the code. During the scenes where you see Douglas, he will be wearing his boxers.
Extra scenes
First, use a memory card with at least one finished saved game file from Silent Hill 2. New interactions with some objects and new scenes will now be available. These scenes are similar or with some type of reference to the previous game. For example, Heather trying to look for something stuck into the toilet in the mall.
Zoom
During gameplay, press and hold L3 and L2 to zoom in on the scenery. Works wonders for exploration...
