In the Born of a Wish scenario, you find a teddy bear in a child's room and Maria thinks "Laura would like this" then she thinks "who is Laura". This shows us that Maria has some of Mary's memories and that she is at least a partial reincarnation. It also shows that Laura is a real girl who met Mary when she was in the hospital.
