Clock Tower Series
#1
I know someone here has played them, so being a survival horror site, I'm guessing other people here must have been curious and checked them out..

I never played the first one, which is supposed to be the best. But I did play the second one, and I liked it, although it was reputed for being crap.

But thirteen endings and bizarre atmosphere and weirdo story. It took a bit of getting used to, but I thought it was fun, as it wasn't as predictable as the third one.

Which I also played, and liked less. The concept was awesome, but in my opinion, not very well executed. I mean eventually, you always knew where the stalkers would pop out of, but in the second game everything was completely random, always surprising you.

The stalkers in the third looked cool, but I don't think they fit in very well with the type of ambience..they looked more like they'd belong in a Soul Calibur game or something.

But still, it's a decent horror series, if not for everyone.

What about everyone else? Did you try them, what do you think?

I played CT3. It had a pretty good creep factor. The monsters you couldn't kill were frustrating as all hell though. It made it even more anxious for me to play it.

Yeah I got that feeling too, with every new scenario. It just got old quick, and more frustrating then anything else.

If I was in her place, I would grab a super soaker and fill it with holy water or something.  Big Grin

I did start Clocktower 3 but didn't get more than a hour or so into it. Last thing I remember is hiding and running in and out of the theater. Does it get much better? I'll try it again if I have more of a feeling of an eventual payout. I also have Eternal Darkness and the Suffering to play, so I don't feel as bad leaving CT3 behind.
